Recipes: Last Chance Drinks for Autumn
Cosmopolitan
Ingredients:
1.5 oz Vodka
1 oz Cranberry Juice
0.5 oz Cointreau
0.5 oz Lime Juice
Glassware: Cocktail Glass
Garnish: Lemon Slice or Lemon Wedge
Preparation: Add all ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake well and double strain into large cocktail glass. Garnish with lime slice.
Espresso Martini
Ingredients:
2 ounces Vodka
1 ounce coffee liqueur
1 ounce freshly brewed espresso
1/2 ounce simple syrup
Ice
Glassware: Martini glass
Garnish: 3 whole coffee beans
Preparation: Place a martini or coupe glass in the freezer for at least five minutes. Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice. Add the vodka, cooled espresso, coffee liqueur, and simple syrup. Shake the mixture very hard for at least 15–20 seconds. This is the key to creating the velvety foam on top. Strain the mixture through a fine strainer into your chilled glass. Garnish with coffee beans and serve immediately.
Old Fashioned Homemade Eggnog
Ingredients:
4 Cups of Milk
1 Cup of Heavy Cream
4 Large Eggs
3/4 Cup of Sugar
1 Teaspoon of Vanilla Extract
1/2 Teaspoon of Ground Nutmeg
Glassware: Small glass mug
Garnish: Ground Nutmeg or Cinnamon Stick
Preparation: In a saucepan, combine the milk and cream, and heat over medium heat until warm. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs and sugar until well combined. Gradually add the warm milk mixture to the egg mixture, whisking constantly. Return the mixture to the saucepan and cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until it thickens slightly.
Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and nutmeg. Chill the eggnog in the refrigerator before serving.

In the area on vacation on a rainy day, bourbon hunting found a few select bottles that we were happy to take at a little bit over MSRP. If we’re in the area again I would hit it again.

What a great find this place was. I have been searching for a couple of specific bottles without any luck, I went in and spoke with the owner Phil and he was extremely knowledgeable of the bourbons I was looking for and was able to track down a few bottles for me. Hands down best liquor store in fort Myers
